Congratulations to Trent Correy, winner of the 11 Second Club July Competition! There were a lot of great entries this month, but Trent Correy's entry won over the voters with its beautiful draftsmanship, wonderful character performance, and fantastic use of animation principles!!

ANTHONY WONG

Anthony started as a computer engineer. Things were good but something was missing. Cal Arts accepted Anthony and that changed his life. He fell in love with animation and film making. For ten years, he worked for Disney feature animation as a character animator (Hunchback, Mulan, Hercules, Fantasia 2000, Tarzan, Emperors New Groove, Treasure Planet, and Home on the Range), and is working at Pixar now. He jumps up and down every day because he makes cartoons.

The eCritique® tool is an innovative key element in the Animation Mentor program. Each week, a professional mentor will provide their students with a newly recorded video critique on their weekly animation assignment. This provides valuable insight, feedback and suggestions on ways to improve students’ weekly assignments and animation skills. In addition to viewing their own critiques, students may also view the critiques of their peers, learning from their mistakes and successes as well.
