Patrick's entry did have impressive lighting and effects, but voters say it was his natural, detailed animation and his emotional acting performances that pushed him to the top. 	BRIAN MENDENHALL Brian Mendenhall graduated with a degree in Computer Animation at the Academy of Arts. He worked on a small project at a place called Robots on Mars. Brian then went on to work for Tippett Studios, working on films like Starship Troopers 2, Hellboy, Constantine, Charlottes Web, Enchanted, and Spiderwick. Brian also teaches and mentors at Animation Mentor.

What is an eCritique?

The eCritique® tool is an innovative key element in the Animation Mentor program. Each week, a professional mentor will provide their students with a newly recorded video critique on their weekly animation assignment. This provides valuable insight, feedback and suggestions on ways to improve students’ weekly assignments and animation skills. In addition to viewing their own critiques, students may also view the critiques of their peers, learning from their mistakes and successes as well.
