Dana Boadway-Masson

Freelance Animator
Senior Mentor

Dana Boadway-Masson has been a professional animator since 2004 and worked as an actor before she decided to become an animator. Thanks to her acting background, she has an in-depth understanding of how to push character performances and poses. A fun fact about Dad is that she had never animated a quadruped before being hired as an animator on the Disney film, The Wild. It was a trial by fire as she suddenly had to animate the following creatures, all of which have distinctly different physiology: squirrels, chameleons, koala bears, penguins, lions, and wildebeest. The hardest creature for her to animate throughout her entire career has been (believe it or not) the snake! Dana currently teaches Body Mechanics, Advanced Body Mechanics, and Introduction to Acting at Animation Mentor.
