ANIMATION MENTOR UNVEILS STUDENT SHOWCASE SUMMER 2009
THE CREATIVE REEL DEMONSTRATES WORK FROM TWENTY FIVE STUDENTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD AND WHY SO MANY OF THE SCHOOL'S GRADUATES ARE HIRED BY FEATURE FILM, TV STUDIOS AND GAMING COMPANIES
Emeryville, CA – August 3, 2009 – AnimationMentor.com (Animation Mentor), the leading online character animation school created by animators for animators, today unveils the Student Showcase Summer 2009 reel. This video is a compilation of creative work from 25 of our students who span the globe from Arizona to Amsterdam to Columbia to Minnesota. Each of the featured clips was created by our students, demonstrating our students' creativity and solid knowledge of character animation concepts. The clips range from basic fundamentals to advanced shots in a short film.
The 2009 Summer Student Showcase, which is the fifth installment of our Student Showcase to date, is a testament to why so many Animation Mentor graduates have been hired at feature film and TV studios as well as gaming companies. The reel shows our students' understanding of the principles of body mechanics, weight, timing, character arc, and acting techniques, demonstrating our students' ability to show emotion and creative concepts that add life and originality to characters.
"I'm proud to see the awesome and inspiring work that our students have created. It's amazing to see what our students create when given the tools and training, said Bobby Beck, chief executive officer and cofounder of Animation Mentor. "There is a lot of heart and soul in this year's Student Showcase."
