About Jason Ryan
Jason Ryan is currently a Supervising Animator on the movie Monsters Versus Aliens at DreamWorks Animation Studios. Before that he was a Supervising Animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios for almost 12 years. Jason graduated from the European School of Animation (also known as Ballyfermot Senior College) in his home country of Ireland in 1993. He received the Student of the Year award by Don Bluth, creator of American Tail and The Secret of Nimh.
Jason started his career as a 2D Animator on German feature productions. After a brief stint in London working as an Animator in computer games, he was hired by Disney Animation Studios. His first project was as an Animator on Fantasia 2000 (the steadfast tin soldier segment). Jason also was an Animation Supervisor on Magic Lamp and Philharmagic, and a Supervising Animator on Chicken Little. Jason also has been a mentor for Animation Mentor.
