My mentor was very clear with instructions and gave feedback very quickly with a lot of detail! She gave great instruction and was always open to answer any questions the group had during the meetings.

As a student starting off with learning Maya, Charnelle made it very straightforward and easy to understand. As I go forward and learn animation, everything that I learned from Charnelle will be very invaluable to me. Charnelle’s style of teaching is very effective.

Charnelle did an excellent job with getting me comfortable with Maya and I enjoyed her outlook on the animation landscape and her tips on getting jobs. She was sweet, personable, and an all-round great teacher.

She has honestly been really amazing and walks us through the demo very thoroughly. She’s really kind, and I learned a lot.

She has made the learning environment very calm and also very strong. She made it easy for me to understand some of the basics of animation in Maya.

Charnelle is super friendly and detail oriented. Her Q&As are great and give me a good understanding of not only Maya, but also just how swiftly and simply the assignments can be done. Her feedback is uplifting and insightful.

I really enjoyed having Charnelle as a Mentor. I found her Q&As to be a thorough review of the video lessons but with a good amount of additional tips and guidance that was helpful and easy to follow along with. I really appreciated the way she handled critiques too; straightforward and positive but full of advice that I was able to quickly use on my assignments and see the difference/improvement.

My mentor was very helpful to me personally as I have never been in an actual class like setting. I have been homeschooled all my life and I will admit I was a little nervous about starting Animation Mentor. Animation is something that has brought me great joy for years, so this is something I really wanted to do. Charnelle was amazing at making everything feel comfortable. I didn’t feel intimidated by asking questions and her critiques were super helpful. I had loads of fun! Thanks!
