Robyne West

Robyne has been fantastic as a mentor! She really wants to make sure we fully understand the basics. Her video critiques are always very thorough and she has been great about adjusting her feedback to match our skill level so that we get the most out of every assignment. During Q&As she makes sure everyone has their questions answered and will take extra time if needed to make sure we’re prepared for the week’s assignment. I’d love to have her as my mentor again in a future class if I could!

She is super nice, and describes instructions in extreme detail. She has super helpful tips for working in the industry, and she is a total superstar. I couldn’t ask for a better mentor.

Robyne is very passionate about teaching and spends a lot of time demonstrating concepts for that week’s class, and she always answers questions thoroughly. She checks in often throughout her demos with her students to ensure they understand the material. Her eCritiques are in depth and go over exactly why something isn’t working and how to fix it.

I can tell that Robyne not only has a passion for animation, but she also has a passion for teaching people and making sure that her students understand the material, which I admire greatly. She has been nothing but fantastic and supportive and when I leave her class, I’ll miss her dearly.

Robyne was my introduction to AM, and I couldn’t imagine a better person to get me started on my animation journey. I feel super lucky to have her as a mentor and look forward to our classes every week. She always brings a great positive, energetic attitude to each lesson. I truly feel like she is invested in every student doing the best they possibly can. For AN01, I have zero doubts that this was the right decision for me.

I know that with her I’m building a deep level of understanding in animation fundamentals that will set me up for success in my career, and that I will be talking about her class for the rest of my life. I was thinking of dropping animation, but Robyne’s love for the work and care for her students showed me that I can do this, and that I have a future in this field. I am forever indebted.
