What Greg’s Students are Saying
10/10 Would Recommend
Greg has been a fantastic mentor. Right off the bat he told us that every Q&A would have a plan and a lesson, but we should interrupt at any point to ask questions or request demos. His knowledge and explanations of animation have been thorough and clear, and he is always willing to go back and explain something again. His assignment notes have also been great. He gives clear advice and notes about what’s not working in your shot and what can make it better. 10/10, would recommend.
An Amazing Person All Round
Greg is just an amazing person all round and has all the qualities you’d expect out of a mentor and more. Not only is he patient and understanding, but also just kind. It’s a rough time right now generally, so he went out of his way to invite us into a zoom session, not for animation, but where we could just talk. His critics are detailed and he never gives up on anyone.
Greg Went Above and Beyond
Greg went above and beyond to not only mentor us in the craft of animation this term, but also in navigating this time of our lives. Beyond thorough and clear feedback, helpful demos in Q&A, and availability for questions, I really felt that Greg was able to accurately assess my progress and know both when I could be pushed harder and when I just needed to be encouraged to keep going.
Always Willing to Help You Out
Greg is absolutely amazing! He is always willing to help you out during the week even with his busy schedule. He also understands when things just don’t go right on an assignment, and doesn’t get upset when you forget to fix something from a previous week’s assignment.
Patient and Willing to Answer Any Question
Greg goes above and beyond to ensure every second of our classes goes to good use. In the first few weeks alone he had covered lessons that until now I hadn’t been exposed to by the other teachers I’ve had at AM. He’s patient and willing to answer any question we might have. Wouldn’t hesitate to choose Greg as my mentor again in the future.
Greg Gets a Superstar Rating!!
Greg gets a superstar rating!! He was ready for each class with demos and would tailor the class depending on what we were struggling with or questions we asked. He really took time to make sure our questions were answered and that we understood. His critiques get a superstar rating too! You knew exactly what you needed to do, why it worked better for that action, and how it improved the shot. I’ve learned a TON this term!! I’m extremely grateful to have had Greg’s as a mentor!
Very Understandable Explanations
Great feedback on weekly critiques and providing mid-week reviews is huge. It helps not to be lost with your shot for a whole week… Also very understandable explanations of workflows and other topics. Also well prepared for the Q&A’s and always time to ask questions and discuss topics. Amazing MENTOR – well done AM!
Genuinely Enjoys Providing Feedback
Greg genuinely enjoys providing feedback whenever we (my classmates and I) are having trouble. He’s provided me with so much help whenever I asked questions. And not your typical “you should do this…” type of answers, but really had me assessing my work and analyzing it as an animator.
