Anthony Wong

Anthony is super engaging and makes things easy for beginners to understand. His critiques are very informative and he puts effort into each one. I’m very glad I was able to have him as my first mentor.

Anthony is a gem. He goes above and beyond to help us; whether it’s going into the Maya files to show us the potential of our current work, taking time to answer questions, or sharing the space to let his students talk and get to know each other. He’s also hysterical, which keeps me invested during such a late night class. He has a long history of animation and his stories are incredibly insightful to the industry and process. I would take Anthony’s classes for the entirety of AM if I could.

Anthony’s way of teaching keeps someone like me who has a very hard time focusing engaged. He’s very funny and very open and responsive to questions. A bit of a tough grader but I like that a lot. Loved every aspect of his course 10/10 from me.

You can see how much he loves his job! The lectures are detailed, with a lot of examples to understand things better. The eCritiques are super useful as he also checks your maya files to show you how your work could improve. 10/10!

His kindness, experience, and intelligence are undeniable in the very personalized eCritiques he’s given me. When times have been tough his lectures have given me the boost I needed to keep putting all my effort into my assignments. I get emotional thinking about it. I recommend EVERYONE to work with him in some capacity. It’s been a privilege.

My mentor, Anthony Wong, was fantastic. Not only did he cover the assignments and aid our learning, but he walked us through a day in the life of the industry many times and made my goals feel that much more realistic. He also spent a little time going over storytelling or cinematography.

Outstanding Mentor, extremely sharp and gives spot on critiques while keeping me very motivated to push my limit and just a really amazing experience. I can really see drastic improvements in my work and know where I need to improve. Anthony Wong is a gem of a mentor, and really cares for your progress and knows how to give you that boost of confidence and hope when you need it.
