Eddie Prickett

Eddie is a great mentor and I’m very lucky to be studying with him this semester! He’s very knowledgeable in the animation industry and is dedicated to being a reliable resource for everyone in his class. He wants us to succeed and his teaching method and interaction with the class shows that.

Eddie always provided very helpful feedback on weekly assessments. He was also very encouraging and accessible, which helped me a lot when I had questions regarding homework. I could feel his passion for animation through every Q&A, and that in turn inspired me a lot as well.

I really enjoy Eddie’s feedback for the assignments and talk during the Q&As. He always gives in-depth notes, trying to make the students understand the principles and how they truly apply to complex animation sequences. I like the way Eddie teaches generally, it’s natural and you can feel the passion behind his constructive criticism for the assignments. I can’t wait to take Body Mechanics with him and learn new things.

Just seeing the way he thinks about body mechanics gives me a whole new perspective on it myself. I’ve started thinking about it differently than before, and I have a much better understanding of weight-shifts, silhouette, LoA, etc. I can’t express how valuable Eddie’s insight has been this term. There is such a dramatic difference between how I “understood” animation before this term and how much I understand now. I feel sooo much better about my skills, thanks to Eddie and AM.

Eddie. Is. Awesome. As well as being a bad-ass animator I can feel his desire to make you better. He strives to find personal things to share, to guide you toward the next level, and to share quality insights about the thought process behind good animation. All while keeping the lectures light, and rewarding you for hard work. I strongly recommend him to anyone who values the above.

Eddie is always encouraging and supportive. I greatly value his approachable nature and willingness to answer tough questions. I find myself hanging on every word Eddie says and taking vigorous notes during each Q&A. Eddie is an excellent mentor.

Eddie provides clear, concise and detailed feedback on every upload and encourages the best out of every student! Wonderful QA sessions with a lot of helpful insight from both previous works and workflow. Not afraid to show you a quick demo upon request and fast to give feedback/answer questions!
