Richard Fournier

Richard was amazing. He had something new to teach in class every week. All the Q&As were helpful from the first one till the last one. He was very open to all the questions and tried to answer them and made sure if everyone understood. He was open to put extra time and you could be sure that he was there if you needed any help. It is my second time that I passed class 3 and this time I feel very confident about my ability. I feel like I just found what animation is about.

Rich always comes up with great ideas and suggestions that are very helpful whenever I feel stuck at something and they make the job so much easier. He is very considerate and honest with his critiques. His precise critiques makes it easier to deal with assignments. I am having a wonderful time learning from him and now I feel much more confident about my skills.

Rich is a great mentor! He is very honest and straightforward with his feedback and can explain complex and abstract ideas with clarity. His varied experience (and the anecdotes that come with it) in both games and feature films offers a different perspective than from my past mentors and it’s always interesting to hear about how things differ in different industries.

I think he dedicates the time and effort that every student needs, he adapts to every level of his class. He’s straight to the point and focuses on the important aspects of the current assignment’s stage and how things will be when students start getting actual jobs.
