Shad has been the best mentor I have had. His feedback is incredibly helpful and so are his demos in our Q&A. He has really pushed me to improve. His critiques are very thorough which I really appreciate. Overall, I feel like I have learned so much from him!

Shad has been an amazing teacher that has really fit my learning style. He has been accommodating, attentive and flexible. I really like that he bases his Q&A demos on common problems he sees in the class’ homework. He makes sure to answer everyone’s questions. His homework critique is careful and detailed. I would’ve gladly picked Shad again for my next class if there was a more suitable time slot.

This is my first time in Animation Mentor, and I knew it was going to be good for learning and improving my skills but man, Shad exceeded every expectation I had, he taught me things I didn’t even know I didn’t know. He is very friendly and his feedback is really specific and clear and he could help me in many things that were holding me back, and I’m very grateful for that.

Shad is very helpful in critiques, he instantly figures out the weak points of a shot and presents them in a constructive way. He helps me focus on what to fix and how to do it. Shad has definitely helped me become a better animator.

Shad is very knowledgeable about animation and gives great eCritiques. There is so much to learn from him that I almost wish Q&As were more than once a week. He touched on so many concepts that I had to write them down so I could continue researching them. I learned a lot in this class.

Shad is a great mentor. He is thorough and explains so that it’s very clear what to do to make our work better. But not only that, he also makes it very clear WHY – which is very important. He always helps push us to the next level. And he let us know what’s important – not only in animation – but also in social life and in business. He does all this with a great sense of humor that fills the class with energy and inspiration.

I like how he checks in with each student personally during the Q&A’s to give everyone a chance to ask questions. I really have learned a lot from him and it is a fun class.
