Dave Vallone

I’ve had so many things finally click for me in Dave’s class. His analogy of timing and spacing being like music and how staccato or long the notes represent spacing, made it so much clearer for me. His focus on holding poses for them to read has helped me tons. He completes eCrits quickly, providing great feedback. He fits a lot into Q&As while ending them on time. He sends weekly shorts for inspiration, and above all is so kind and approachable. One of my favorite mentors thus far.

Dave’s class was amazing. I appreciate his insights as well as support during this journey. I am willing to take his class again. Moreover, I personally liked his grading system because I wanted to measure myself whether I could hit the industry level of skills, I needed the honest grading. Thank you so much.

Dave is super helpful and supportive, he motivates me a lot to always push my animation to make it as best as I can. His Q&As are super fun and enjoyable, I always look forward to lessons with him.

I felt like Dave had a good sense for how to breach the subject matter of each class, as well as the critiques for each assignment, in a way that felt engaging, easy to understand and that gave me a strong sense for how to improve over time. It was super easy to follow along with everything and remain motivated, I can’t help but admire his way of teaching.
