What Jeremy’s Students are Saying
Jeremy is Fantastic
Jeremy is fantastic! He was very clear about his grading rationale at the start of class and consistently provides feedback that is intentionally encouraging and extremely constructive. He certainly knows his stuff about acting and animating, and he is always willing to let Q&A run a bit late so that he can answer everyone’s questions adequately. It’s great to be learning from a mentor who seems to care as much about teaching as he does animating. Keep it up, Jeremy!
Very Knowledgeable and Approachable
Jeremy is very knowledgeable on the subject matter. He is also very approachable, welcomes questions in class and always have some insightful information to add. I really enjoyed class with Jeremy and I feel that I personally got a lot out of it.
One of My Favorite Mentors
Jeremy’s been one of my favorite mentors by far. He’s very meticulous with the way he teaches and leaves feedback, going over the workflow process step by step as well as introducing ideas that you may have missed or forgotten to implement. His critiques are very enlightening, broadening my perspective on how to improve a shot as a whole. He does a good job making sure you focus on the parts of the shot that are most important. I often feel bad for not knowing what questions to ask during Q&As.
Critiques are Always Informative
Jeremy has really helped me understand the animation basics in a very digestible way. He introduced me to the Preston Blair Cartoon Animation book which has helped me a lot with important techniques such as the wave principle. Also, his critiques of my work are always informative and I never feel confused on why he felt the way he felt and what and how to improve.
Feedback is Excellent
Jeremy is amazing. He always has something new to bring to our meetings and his feedback is excellent. He always reminds me that his comments on my shots should be taken more as a guide than a rule, giving me the opportunity to improve my animation skills while doing a scene that I enjoy working on.
10 Out of 10
Mr. Lazare is an excellent mentor because he always answers everyone’s questions to the fullest. He gives us lots of examples and shows us step by step how to work through little things that will make us better animators. I think he is a great teacher as well as a good person and I think my classmates will agree with me. I give him a 10 out of 10.
