One of the best mentors that I’ve had. He [Marek] pays attention to each student at the beginning of the Q&A. He was often patient with my English and knew to respond appropriately. The eCritiques were really clear and helpful.

Marek is great. I don’t have any suggestions. Everything that he already does I have been able to keep up with and understand. His critiques are easy to follow. I do think that part of what works is that I mesh with his personality.

Marek is a fantastic mentor with a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is really down to earth and I’ve loved this class with him, I’ve learned loads. His Q&A’s are very focused on many topics that help us analyze all aspects of animation and cinematography. He makes sure the class gets involved in discussion and this makes our Q&A’s fun. His feedback is honest and he pushes you to do your best whilst explaining the theory thoroughly. Absolute superstar and I’m grateful for the time with him.

Marek is a great mentor because he takes the time to structure his Q&As in an organized, clear way that’s easy to follow and understand. He doesn’t mind when we interrupt him with questions, and his lessons are full of fascinating topics. I like that he takes the time to ask us how we are doing with our projects. It’s clear that he cares about us doing well, and I would highly recommend him as a mentor.

I also love how in each Q&A he checks up on each of us, and how we’re doing this week. I really appreciate it. And a lot of Marek’s point of view comes from a filmmaker’s perspective, which was interesting to me. And a new way to look at things Yeah I’m loving Marek as a mentor this term, he’s an awesome teacher!!

Marek knows so incredibly much. It seems like he has a world full of knowledge and I’ve simply seen the tip of the iceberg. He explains the logic behind animation, which helps me remember the concepts better. In addition, he was kind concerning my religious beliefs which must have truly been a balancing act, with such a diverse class. He skipped some parts of example videos that he thought could be offensive. Marek is respectful toward all his students, and I’m honored to have learned under him.
