Mark Oftedal

Mark is such a great mentor! He really teaches and explains the material in a way that I easily understood. His knowledge is commendable! The cartoony workshop was only six weeks and I learned a lot but I wish it was longer! 🙂

I absolutely loved taking the Cartoony Animation workshop with Mark! I not only learned a lot, but I also learned how to learn better in the future. I took away a lot of good things that will help me continue to grow as an animator even beyond the workshop. It was also just so much fun!! Cartoony animation was so intimidating but it can also be very freeing.

Mark was without a doubt the best mentor I’ve ever had. He explained things very well and was super helpful and attentive when any of us had questions. I only wish the class had been longer so that we could take more time on each section and maybe even do more sections than we did. I’d highly recommend his class to everyone, even if the cartoony style isn’t their thing, because what he’s teaching is essential to being able to fully understand animation and its principals.

Mark is amazing. Extremely helpful! His draw overs and critiques were very clear and helpful on how to move forward and what was missing. He was so thoughtful in discussing everything. Very engaging and I would take another class with him if I could. I wish the cartoony workshop was actually more than 6 weeks because of how awesome he was to work with.

He’s very knowledgeable at the cartoony class where he gives good analysis and clear honest critiques on our assignments.

Mark is awesome at explaining cartoony animation, doing demos and showing examples that really help us understand the concepts he’s teaching.

Mark was one of the best mentors I’ve ever had. Not only did his class help me understand cartoony animation, but also really helped me understand timing and spacing better. Every week I felt myself getting better and better and by the end I created one of the best animations I’ve ever made! Honestly I don’t think I have any suggestions. He was such a great mentor and I’m really grateful to have attended his class!
