What Steve’s Students are Saying
Amazing
Steve has been nothing short of amazing. He is encouraging, inspiring, and informative. He encourages all of his students to ask questions, and really makes it comfortable and easy to talk about things we are having trouble with. Steve seems like he really cares about helping all of his students succeed, and makes himself always available if we encounter any issues or need help with our assignments throughout the week. If he taught my next course, I would take him again in a heartbeat.
Above and Beyond to Encourage Participation
Steve has gone above and beyond to encourage participation and community among the class. It is one of the first online courses I’ve taken where it doesn’t feel like you’re in it alone. One thing that I love is that he sends out emails filled with what he calls “Funstuff”. The videos or images he sends in these emails all relate back to animation or action in some way and are not only helpful, but super interesting to see/read.
Steve is Awesome
Steve is awesome. He always makes the class laugh. He tells us so many jokes to keep the class close. Then he returns and he tells us some inspirational stuff. And mostly important, he shares with us his life experience being an animator.
Really Good Feedback
Really good feedback, really positive and encouraging. I especially like that he draws a lot over my homework, which helps me understand his critique better and helps me get better poses. And he gives extra homework (which is optional) which I feel helps push me to do something to improve my work when I’m getting sick of looking at my homework.
Really Helped Me Grasp Concepts
I had a hard time understanding acting in the beginning of the class but Steve really helped me grasp the concepts. Steve also encouraged the class to connect more beyond the Q&A sessions, and he does it on a consistent basis by sharing tutorials and fun videos. Steve is always very positive but at the same time honest and straight-forward when he thinks something isn’t working out. I’m having a great time this quarter and I’ve learned a lot so far. Thanks Steve!
