Pixar Short: Mentor and Alumni Know How to Get the Party Started

by | Oct 17, 2012

It’s true what they say:

When the Mom and kid are away, the toys will play.

Who better to get the party started (right AND quickly) than Animation Mentor?!?

Royce Wesley, animator at Pixar Animation Studios and Character Animation Program mentor, worked on this fun project. And Animation Mentor alumni Daniel Floyd and Eric Luhta both contributed to Partysaurus Rex from Pixar Canada.

This amazing short is another example of how collaboration knows no borders or boundaries. Creativity, imagination, and sheer inspiration are the driving forces here. It’s no wonder that the toys kicked off their heels (well, if toys wore shoes) and splish splashed it big time.

A huge round of applause to Royce, Daniel, and Eric for making the entire Animation Mentor community proud. And just to let you guys know, when we watch your short (and believe us, we watch it a lot) — we bop and laugh all along the way. This is EXACTLY why we love animation SO much.

Now it’s your turn. Registration is open for the Winter 2013 term. Join us at Animation Mentor and get ready to create, imagine, and inspire — and kick up your heels, too — on the coolest animation campus around.

See you soon.
