What is Storyboarding?
Storyboarding is a visual storytelling tool that helps directors share their vision of the script before any filming is done. The storyboard artist works closely with the director to plan out the staging, camera angles, and narrative character beats. Outlined in the pre-production phase of the production pipeline, storyboards are the blueprint for what the film or project will eventually become.
Award-winning Comic and Story Artist Mike Kunkel teaches storyboarding skills that are used across every film or media production environment. Take Mike’s workshops and learn how the pros approach storyboarding. Basic drawing skills are encouraged for anyone hoping to take these workshops.
